Live a unique experience in Sardinia by discovering the wonderful path of the wool supply chain, surrounded by vineyards and animals in an authentic natural context a few steps from Olbia.
A special opportunity to get to know every phase of the process up close, from the sheep to the finished fabric, in full respect of nature and ancient Sardinian traditions. Guided by an expert craftswoman, you will follow all the processes step by step: from washing wool to carding, from hand spinning to weaving on traditional looms, built according to techniques handed down for generations. The absolute protagonist is the wool of Sardinian sheep raised on site, including the fascinating black sheep of Arbus, an endangered native breed that you can get to know up close.
A perfect activity for those who love crafts, sustainable tourism and want to take home authentic and unforgettable memories.
Toddlers under 3 years old are allowed, but the activity is suitable for older children.
PROGRAM
With the guidance of our expert craftswoman, you will follow the wool journey step by step:
- Washing: You will find out how to clean and prepare raw wool
- Carding: You will learn to untangle and sort fibers with traditional tools
- Hand spinning: You will turn wool into thread, working like a true craftsman
- Weaving: You will use traditional looms, built by hand according to the ancient Sardinian technique, to bring the final fabric to life
