Description
In the south-east of Sardinia, near Castiadas, you will take part in a trek that will take you on the last stretch of a path full of charm and among the favorites of enthusiasts: the Italy Path. You will cross an area that, until the mid-1900s, was crossed by prisoners from the penal colony and which still retains many testimonies of the many activities that were carried out there. It is a luxuriant holm oak wood, now inhabited by a large population of Sardinian deer. Reached the top of Arcu sa Teula, the view of the Cime dei Sette Fratelli opens and, shortly thereafter, the panorama of the splendid sea of the south-east coast. Leaving the Sentiero Italia, you will return to the starting point by walking in a beautiful forest, where there are other interesting and unexpected testimonies of the activity of the penal colony.
