Description

A unique stay that includes a real two-day itinerant trekking between the routes of the famous Selvaggio Blu, one of the most famous trekking in Italy! You will start from Baunei, in central-eastern Sardinia and, with our expert guide, you will cross a panoramic route with a rather challenging difference in level, in which the effort is however amply rewarded by the breathtaking view! From this moment on, the path becomes decidedly easier until the arrival in the sheepfold where the guide, who in life is also a shepherd, will prepare a rich dinner based on typical products and will arrange accommodation for overnight. The next morning, after breakfast, you will leave for Punta Salinas, a panoramic terrace located in the center of the Gulf of Orosei above Cala Goloritzè, and then reach the beach. After a few relaxing hours, you start the ascent to reach the Golgo Plateau at an altitude of 400 m until the transport by jeep for the return. PROGRAMME

DAY 1

We drive to the mountain village of Baunei. From here you will reach Cuile Us Piggius and then Punta Giradili, a panoramic terrace 700 metres above sea level. We then continue the walk to Ovile Piras.
Dinner and overnight stay in the sheepfold.

Difficulty: difficulty E (hiking) with small sections EE (experienced hikers)
Distance: 12/14 km
Duration: approx. 6 h walking time
Height difference: +450m -150m approx.

DAY 2

From the sheepfold we head towards Punta Salinas (one of the most scenic natural terraces overlooking the Gulf) and then towards Baccu Goloritzè to reach the cove of the same name, one of the most fascinating in the entire Mediterranean. In the afternoon, we depart for the Golgo plateau where we visit As Piscinas (basaltic rainwater basins), the well-known Golgo chasm "Su Sterru" (which, at around 300m, is one of the deepest vertical chasms in Europe), and the country church of San Pietro.

Dinner at the shepherd’s will be based on typical products and includes: appetizer, roast, vegetables, dessert, wine
