Description
A challenging trekking route to experience in a magical place in Sardinia: Montalbo. The excursion winds along mule tracks that still resist the advance of time. The itinerary develops along the ridge that will allow you to reach peaks such as Ferulargiu (1057 m) and Corru de sa Mandra (983 m). From the peaks the horizon opens up all over Sardinia: from Barbagia to the open sea of the Baronies, to Tavolara island. You will come across numerous local plant and animal endemisms, a true paradise for hikers and nature lovers. With a little luck you could also admire the very rare golden eagle as well as various other birds of prey such as the kestrel and the buzzard, or the spectacular crow coral reef. Every effort will be repaid and you will live a day to remember!
