On board of 4X4 Jeep you will discover Orgosolo, in the heart of Sardinia.
The village is today one of the most important in Barbagia for the culture and the richness of its traditions, for the murals and for its priceless natural heritage. With an expert guide, during the day you will visit a beautiful tomb of giants, to discover the secrets of the nuragic civilization. Then, aboard the Jeep, you can enter a forest to the top of Monte San Giovanni. After a delicious typical Sardinian lunch in a sheepfold with the shepherd, you will visit the famous murals of Orgosolo, wonderful works of art that tell the culture, the history of the country and Sardinia.
PROGRAMME
- First stop at a Tomb of the Giants
- Walk through the Montes Forest to the summit of Monte San Giovanni
- Typical Sardinian lunch at a shepherd's traditional sheepfold, known as ‘Su Pinnetu’ (to be paid locally)
- After lunch, one-hour guided tour of Orgosolo to see the famous murals
- Return

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
The typical lunch will be cooked and served directly by the shepherd and his family and includes: cold cuts and cheese samples, boiled sheep and roast suckling pig, Cannonau wine and Sardinian brandy.
Lunch will be paid for directly on site, €300 total. The off-road excursion is exclusive, while lunch can be shared with other participants.
