More than a sailing school: growth, teamwork, and new friendships
A sailing school dedicated to children and adolescents from 9 to 18 years in the wonderful Archipelago of La Maddalena, in the extreme north-east of Sardinia. Children and young people, will be welcomed in a school with great and long experience, and as a testimony there are many sailors who were born and raised in these special classrooms! In teaching to the youngest, an exclusive method is used, based on the principle of learning by doing. So sailing becomes a beautiful game, exciting and never boring, while without realizing it you learn to steer, to sail, but also to be together, to help each other, to do their part in the crew and on the ground. A unique experience to grow and make new friends!
- The experience runs from June to July
- The course lasts one week and is held at the residential facilities of the Velamare Nautical Base in La Maddalena
PROGRAMME
- In the morning, after a good breakfast, there will be a preparation briefing
- This is followed by a practical lesson directly at sea on dinghies, small modern boats that are easy to manoeuvre
- Back for lunch, followed by short theoretical lessons in the classroom and finally dinner at the facility
- Overnight stay: wooden cottages with bunk beds are available at the Nautical Base, essential and ecological, in line with the values and discipline of sailing
