Explore a lodge in Olmedo, located just a short distance from Alghero in the beautiful northwest of Sardinia, for a memorable experience that engages both young and old in a perfect union with nature and fascinating animals.
You will be warmly welcomed by Alice, the hostess, who will guide you through an adventure combining animal care with education in respect for these fascinating creatures. Among her "guests" you will find ornamental chickens, goats, donkeys, peacocks, ducks, geese, rabbits, guinea pigs, mini pigs, and many other friendly animals. The shelter welcomes free-roaming animals and will offer you the opportunity to interact directly with them, discovering their habits and listening to their stories.
If you love nature and would like to have a relaxing and educational experience to share with your family, you can't miss the opportunity to visit Alice and her furry and feathered friends!
The refuge is the result of Alice's big dream: to live in harmony with nature and animals. After leaving Rome to settle in Sardinia, she devoted all her energy to making this project a reality. Thanks to the support of numerous supporters and personal sacrifices, she managed to create a welcoming environment for more than 150 animals, rescued from dangerous situations such as slaughterhouses, abandonment or exploitation. Alice shares, "Freedom is at the heart of this place, even if it involves sacrifices to ensure the peaceful coexistence of different species. However, every commitment is repaid by the joy of seeing a goat, once destined for slaughter, run free in our spaces."
This experience is also available with lunch or dinner included and you can find all the information HERE.
