Description

In the territory of Oliena, in the heart of Sardinia and the Supramonte, you will participate in an adventurous trek and, immersed in the woods of holm oaks and mastic, you will cross the majestic canyon of Horojos, up to the cave of Sa Nurre de Su Hoda. Following the traces of the first explorers, you will wear a speleological helmet to enter safely inside a narrow tunnel in which our expert guide will explain the importance of natural cavities in the pastoral world, its many uses and will make you relive the story. The highlight will be to be able to admire how a single ray of sun will be able to penetrate the absolute darkness of the cave from a small cavity in the upper wall, giving a scenery that will leave you enchanted, managing to illuminate an underground environment up to 100 meters high. What are you waiting for? Live a day between nature and history!

IMPORTANT

  • This experience is not suitable for those who are not used to walking in the mountains, those who suffer from claustrophobia, or those with any kind of reduced mobility. Children between the ages of 3 and 7 can participate if they are already used to hiking or long walks.
  • The use of a baby carrier backpack is recommended for those taking part in this experience with a toddler, as the trail is not suitable for stroller use.
  • The route to the cave is rocky, of medium-easy difficulty, and does not require special skills.

  • Meeting with the guide and transfer by 4WD on a short dirt road to the beginning of the trail
  • Hike to get to the cave
  • Visit to the cave of Sa Nurre de Su Hoda of about an hour and a quarter
  • Return
