Experience a day of nature, board a canoe and explore the fluvial landscape. Starting from the thermal spring of Casteldoria, you can enjoy a day trip surrounded by hot water springs on the surface of the river, unspoilt Mediterranean vegetation and the beauty of a lagoon very close to the sea. Between one paddle and the next, you can also admire a colorful variety of birds: white and grey herons, kingfishers, hawks and, with a bit of luck, even the stork that lives along the river. It will be a fairly long but not too demanding route: every effort will be rewarded by the postcard panorama of this natural corner in the north of Sardinia.
The route consists of a river descent starting from the Thermal Springs of Casteldoria and arriving at the end of the Coghinas, about 15 km long.
Transfer from the meeting point to the departure point will be made by an 8-passenger van while on arrival at the mouth of the river you will find the facility where you can return the rented kayak.
A guide will not accompany you during the river descent.

The Coghinas with its 116 km is the third longest river in Sardinia, the most important in the northern part of the island. It owes its name to Coghinas ("kitchens" in Logudorese) due to the presence of hot water springs near Casteldoria, whose salty-bromine-iodic waters flow at 76°C and give life to an important thermal complex.
