Eight day tour coast to coast east to west with donkey from Dorgali

PROGRAM

The tour includes stages from about 20 km per day from the east coast to the west coast of Sardinia with a difference in altitude there about 300 meters. The donkeys will be the travel companions and will carry the luggage

• Day 1

Departure from Dorgali and reach by minivan the characteristic beach of Cala Cartoe. Visit the beautiful caves of Ispinigoli and lunch in a characteristic "cuile", the shepherd’s hut. Then cross the river Cedrino, reaching the nuragic village of Serra Orrios and then arrive in Paules for the first night

• Day 2

From here on the journey will always be in the company of donkeys. First stop of the day is the Tomb of the Giants of Thomes, a magical and mysterious place. After seeing the vineyards of Isalle from which the excellent wine of Dorgali is produced, you go in the direction of one of the most beautiful villages of Sardinia, the characteristic Lollove, where you will stop for the night

• Day 3

From the beautiful setting of the village of Lollove continue through the cork woods and then reach Nuoro and the famous farm Testone

• Day 4

Departure towards Bono and stay in a B&B on site, an excellent opportunity to see and learn about Sardinia from a point of view less touristy than usual

• Day 5

Crossing the woods you arrive at Nuraghe Eris Manzanu and then continue towards Bonorva: it is an opportunity to visit the Necropolis of Sant'Andrea Priu, a unique place of its kind that will leave you speechless. Overnight in Sas Abilas

• Day 6

Visit of Rebeccu, the medieval village with a prestigious past, now almost uninhabited but always fascinating for the many legends related to it. After stopping in Semestene with its 140 inhabitants, arrival in Pozzomaggiore for the night

• Day 7

From the province of Nuoro, passing to that of Sassari, we touch the province of Oristano with Montresta, the next stage of our journey that is coming to an end. After a night on site we walk to Bosa for the end of the journey

• Day 8

This is the last day of the trip and you reach Bosa, where the water of the Tyrrhenian Sea will reach that of the Sardinian Sea of the west coast of the island to complete the mission of this fantastic adventure!

MEALS

Meals are all included in the price and based on local products cooked by local chefs. In total will be 7 breakfasts, 8 lunches and 7 dinners. We will have the opportunity to taste typical products, homemade and genuine, enjoy ancient tastes and scents linked to each stage, from Barbagia with meat and red wine, sausages and white wine of Goceano, the traditional bread of Bonorva and the fresh pasta of Montresta until you get to the cuisine of the coast near the sea of Bosa.

TRANSFER SERVICE

The transfer service from the meeting point to the starting point of the tour is included in the participation fee
While the transfer from the arrival point to the starting point, is NOT included in the fee.
It can be requested after booking. It has a total cost of € 275. The total cost does not vary according to the number of people who will require the service, but of course it will change the cost per person according to the total number that you will know only once the bookings for each tour are closed.
