If you are in the north west of Sardinia, you can not miss the tour of the beautiful Basilica of San Gavino in Porto Torres, a jewel and testimony of the Romanesque period in Sardinia and unique in Italy to have two apses faced. Dedicated to the martyrs Gavin, Proto and Gianuario, beheaded in 303 A.D. at the time of the Christian persecutions of the emperors Diocletian and Maximian, it keeps their relics in the underground crypt. With the help of the audio guides, you will make a real fascinating journey to the knowledge of the foundation of the Basilica and the events of the construction site of its factory, along with the sculptural evidence of beautiful works of art from the Middle Ages and Baroque. The visit with the Audioguide service is available at the following times:

  • April and October: from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm and from 3:00 pm to 5:45 pm
  • From May to September: from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm and from 3:00 pm to 6:45 pm

After booking, contact the telephone number on the booking voucher to arrange the time you prefer with our local operators. Important: since the Basilica is an officiated church, the visiting service may undergo changes related to the performance of religious services 

GUIDED TOUR IN ITALIAN
