IMPORTANT

• From the meeting point, you will drive your car to the beginning of the trail that lies at the foot of the Ruinas Nuragic Village, about a 45-minute drive. The road is mostly paved, but winding. On the way there are 2 km of dirt road, but in excellent condition.
• This experience is not suitable for those who are not used to walking in the mountains, pregnant women or for those with any kind of reduced mobility. Children can participate if they are already used to hiking. 
• Those who are not used to being at high altitude may experience pressure problems.
• The main difficulty of this hike lies in the type of terrain in which you walk characterized by boulders.

ITINERARY

The first stop on the itinerary will be a visit to the Ruinas Nuragic Village located at 1,200 meters, a feature that makes it the highest nuragic journey on the island. Immediately after the archaeological visit, we will proceed with the 8-kilometer trail in the Gennargentu Mountains, amidst stony ground and Mediterranean scrub, where it is possible to encounter animals in the wild. Once you arrive at Punta La Marmora, you will picnic and return to the starting point along the same route.

PICNIC

The picnic includes cheese, cured meats, pistoccu bread, coccois prenas (potato and cheese filled cupcakes), and dried Sardinian treats. Options for allergies, intolerances and vegetarian and vegan solutions are available upon request to the number on the reservation voucher.

PETS

Dogs are allowed if brought with a muzzle and leash, if they are small dogs a leash is sufficient.
